How does Botox work?
Botox works by blocking the communication between the brain and the injected muscles.* Without this interaction, muscles lay dormant and therefore do not make active expression. After a couple months, the blockage slowly begins to fade so that the muscles regain their activity.

What can I expect during treatment?
Before your treatment, we will analyze your muscle movement and strength. This will help us determine the amount of Botox needed and where it should be injected. If you’d like, you can choose from a variety of pain reducers to minimize discomfort during your appointment. A precise amount of product is carefully placed into each site for maximum, lasting results.* The entire procedure only takes 5-10 minutes.
What can I expect from the results?
You will begin to feel the effects a few days after the treatment, with maximum results appearing after a couple of weeks.* The longevity of Botox depends on three main things: your metabolism, your muscle strength and how active those muscles are.* Some people will metabolize the product very quickly and will therefore need injections more often. Similarly, the stronger your muscles are, the more product you will need. Muscles we use frequently, such as the ones around the mouth and eyes, will need to be injected more often since they are more active. Typically, results last for several months.*
